Okavango Delta Safari Tour – Botswana Guided 4x4 Wilderness & Mokoro Adventure

Guided 4×4 Safari Through the World's Greatest Inland Delta

The Okavango Delta is one of the natural wonders of the world — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the planet’s largest inland delta, where the Okavango River pours 11 cubic kilometres of water annually into the sands of the Kalahari, creating a vast, seasonal wetland teeming with life. This is Botswana’s crown jewel, and one of Africa’s most sought-after safari destinations.

On this 12-day guided 4×4 adventure, you’ll skip the luxury lodges and go straight to the source — camping in unfenced wilderness sites right on the banks of the Khwai River, and overnighting at the legendary Third Bridge campsite deep inside Moremi Game Reserve. This is immersive, authentic delta camping: elephants crossing metres from your tent, lions calling across the floodplains after dark, and the African night sky arching overhead from your chair beside the campfire.

The wildlife of the Okavango is extraordinary in both variety and density. The Big Five are all present, alongside lechwe, sable antelope, plains zebra, Nile crocodile, hippo, giraffe, cheetah, and both brown and spotted hyena. The Okavango holds one of the highest African wild dog pack densities on the continent — and September sits perfectly in the dry season, when game concentrates around water and sightings are at their peak. Over 400 bird species round out the picture, from African fish eagles and lilac-breasted rollers to crested cranes and sacred ibis.

Every evening ends around the campfire with a freshly prepared bush dinner. Small group experience — maximum 7 vehicles, off-road trailer friendly.
