The world’s largest inland delta and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Okavango transforms the Kalahari into a seasonal paradise of waterways, islands, and floodplains. The Big Five are all present, alongside wild dog — one of the highest pack densities in Africa — lechwe, sable antelope, Nile crocodile, hippo, and more than 400 bird species including the fish eagle, lilac-breasted roller, and crested crane.

Savuti Marsh
The ancient, floodable grasslands of the Savuti attract some of Botswana’s most dramatic predator action — particularly lion prides hunting buffalo — as well as large zebra migrations and extraordinary concentrations of waterbirds.
