The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is one of the vastest wildlife Parks in Southern Africa covering a area of 38 000 sqkm with a variety of grasses and Vachelia trees. It is located in the Kalahari regions of South Africa and Botswana, it also borders Namibia on the East side. This park is characterized by vast open spaces, red sand dunes and dry river beds. The Augrabies Falls Np boasts the second largest waterfall in Southern Africa by volume of water. Located on the mighty Orange River the longest river in South Africa, approx. 2200km in length.
Wildlife found includes 470 documented species like herds of migrating animals.
It includes Ungulates like Wildebeest, Springbok, Gemsbok, Kudu, Eland, Steenbok and Giraffe. Predatory animals include Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Bat Eared Fox, Spotted and Brown Hyena.
For the bird enthusiasts, Kgalagadi NP also boasts over 200 bird species consisting of 30 types of Raptors and Ostriches, Bustards, Waterfowls, Storks and many types of Passerines.
This tour is limited to a maximum of 8 vehicles and is off-road trailer friendly.
