With two nights based at Sanddrif Farm, there is ample time to explore the region’s spectacular scenery at a relaxed pace.

This is one of South Africa’s richest areas for San rock art, with paintings dating back centuries found throughout the mountains, alongside iconic formations like the Stadsaal Caves.

What makes the Cederberg special:

  • Stadsaal Caves — cathedral-like rock chambers
  • Centuries-old San rock art sites
  • Crystal-clear mountain streams
  • Renowned Cederberg hiking trails
  • Some of South Africa’s darkest night skies for stargazing

Travellers will pass secluded beaches, historic fishing villages and dramatic ocean views, moving through the unique floral landscapes of Namaqualand [CONFIRM SEASON FOR WILDFLOWERS] before reaching the remote settlement of Hondeklipbaai.

This stretch of coastline is one of the least-developed in South Africa, offering a genuine sense of remoteness and unspoiled natural beauty.

What makes the West Coast & Namaqualand special:

  • Elands Bay’s rugged surf coastline
  • Secluded beaches & dramatic ocean views
  • Historic West Coast fishing villages
  • Unique Namaqualand flora and landscapes
  • Remote arrival at Hondeklipbaai
  • Untouched, unspoiled coastal wilderness
